Joel Brenner, MD, MPH, FAAP is the President for Healthcare Revenue Logic. Dr. Brenner is an associate professor of pediatrics at the Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) in Norfolk, VA. He is the medical director of the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD) Sports Medicine program, the Director of the CHKD Sports Concussion, Dance Medicine and Running Medicine programs. He is also the director of the EVMS/ Children's Specialty Group's Division of Sports Medicine. He is trained in pediatrics, sports medicine and adolescent medicine and received a master of public health at the University of Texas in Houston.

Dr. Brenner is the immediate-past chairperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Council on Sports Medicine and Fitness and currently is on the Board of Directors of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine.

Dr. Brenner has testified before the state and federal legislature to assist with laws protecting student-athletes with concussions. He also was an Invited Participant for the Healthy Kids & Safe Sports Concussion Summit at the White House hosted by President Obama

He is the team physician for local high schools, Norfolk State University, Governor's School for the Arts, Todd Rosenlieb Dance and Virginia Ballet Theater. He is also the medical director of the CHKD RunWalk for the Kids.

Dr. Brenner has coauthored numerous journal articles and book chapters on overuse injuries and sport specialization in young athletes. He is a co-editor for the January 2017 British Journal of Sports Medicine issue on the young athlete and the lead author of the AAP Sports Specialization and Overuse Injuries and Burnout reports. He lectures locally, nationally and internationally on various sports medicine topics including "concussions in youth", "overuse and overtraining in young athletes" and "sports specialization".

Laurie L. DeSantis, CPC is the Exectuive Director for Healthcare Revenue Logic. She has over 26 years in health care management experience and is a member of the AAPC, certified as a professional coder. She has spent the last 23 years as Director for Patient Financial Services in multi-specialty settings in both academic and private practice for pediatric sub-specialty and adult medicine. In addition she has spent many years consulting with large group practices and hospitals across the country in the streamlining of revenue cycle work flow processes. She is an active member of the AAPC, HFMA and MGMA Associations. She has been a speaker for the local chapter of the AAPC and actively teaches classes in correct coding for all specialty services. Laurie serves on Anthem WellPoint's physician practice advisory board.

Suzanne Lavin, CPA is a Consultant for Healthcare Revenue Logic. She has over 25 years of Healthcare Administrative and Financial Management experience. Her experience includes working in an academic medical center and with multi-specialty group practices. She has held positions of Controller, Chief Financial Officer for group practices and Chief Executive Officer for a large multi-specialty group practice. She has been responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial management as well as human resource and benefit administration. As CEO, she was responsible for providing general oversight and direction of the practice. She handled third party payer contracts with insurance companies and other non-related entities, focuses on practice and program development, recruitment and strategic planning. She graduated from Old Dominion University in 1986 with a BSBA degree, with a major in Accounting. She became a Certified Public Accountant in 1993.

Charles Elliott is the Vice President of Finance for Healthcare Revenue Logic. He has more than 14 years of experience in the accounting profession, including 7 years in public accounting which included auditing healthcare and not-for-profit organizations. He has also served as CFO for a large multispecialty physician practice group and controller for a multi-state organization in the private sector. His expertise includes preparing business plans and financial pro-formas, budgeting, developing internal controls, maintaining relationships with financial institutions, preparing financial statements and tax returns, and directing the daily accounting operations with proficient analytical aptitude in Microsoft Excel. Charles is a graduate of Old Dominion University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in 1999, with an emphasis in accounting. He is a member of the Association of Administrators in Academic Pediatrics and Medical Group Management Association.

Jodi Bailey, CPC has over 15-years coding, medical documentation, auditing and regulatory compliance experience in multi-specialty physician group practices. She has extensive physician education experience in all facets of health care compliance areas. Her education includes areas of disease management, anatomy and physiology to ensure appropriate CPT, HCPCS and ICD-9 code selections to maximize reimbursement with strict adherence to compliance. She is a member of the AAPC, certified as a professional coder.

Anita Tringle, CPC has 17-years experience in multi-specialty billing, coding and reimbursements. She has assisted in the education of staff on coding and insurance billing guidelines as well as provider education for coding and documentation requirements. As a Reimbursement and Coding Analyst, she specializes in the monetary affects and resolution of inappropriate coding and denial management. She is a member of the AAPC, certified as a professional coder and is passionate in her development of effective revenue management workflow processes.

Michelle Ferris Green, CPC, CPC-H, CPC-I is a Healthcare IT consultant for Children's Health System in Norfolk VA and has been employed with the Health System for seventeen years. Michelle comes with over twenty years of health care experience and scope of expertise that covers the entire revenue cycle. For the last eleven years she has been focused on implementation of ANSI X12 5010 for 837P, 835, 270/271 and 276/277, ICD10, as well as implementation and maintenance of the Health Systems PM systems and interfaces. Michelle has also taught AAPC approved CPC and CPC-H classes.

Billing & Collection Staff  Healthcare Revenue Logic (HCRL) staff consists of former practice managers, certified professional coders and other highly skilled medical billers. Many with over 10 years of experience in the industry with multi-specialty experience.
